How long does setup take?
About four minutes. Install Office Rivals, choose the channel for your pool and run /premierleague, /championsleague, /nfl or /f1. In Google Chat, choose the setup command from the app's menu. The bot already has the schedule and scoring rules.
Does everyone need Slack?
Office Rivals runs inside Slack or Google Chat, with the same scoring and standings on both. Your coworkers do not need another account or download. They join through the channel or space where you run the pool. Microsoft Teams is not available yet.
What if someone joins halfway through the season?
They start with the next unlocked pick and join that competition's table. NFL Survivor is the one exception: entries close at the first kickoff of the week your pool's race starts, while Pick'em stays open all season.
Will it ping us on the weekend?
No. Your channel stays quiet on Saturday and Sunday. Monday brings the weekend recap and updated table. For NFL, Monday is provisional and Tuesday closes the week after Monday Night Football. Anyone who wants an early look can run /premierleague standings without notifying the channel.
Can we split it by department or office?
Yes. Players pick their own department when they make their first prediction, and each one gets its own table alongside the company one. Nobody has to maintain a list.
Is this gambling?
No. There is no stake, no odds, no wagering and no cash prize, so nobody can win or lose money. It is a free-to-play prediction game, the same category as a pub quiz, not a betting product.
How does scoring work?
Each competition keeps a short, familiar rulebook. League football uses the 3 / 5 / 8 scoreline ladder. F1 asks for pole, P1-P3 and fastest lap, up to 10 points. NFL Pick'em is one point per correct winner, with traditional single-elimination Survivor alongside it. Everything scores automatically.
Is there a leaderboard against other companies?
The person running an NFL pool can choose to put the company on America's company leaderboard. It can appear once five coworkers join. Individual names and picks stay private.
What happens after the season ends?
Your final standings remain available to revisit. Other competitions keep running, and nothing renews automatically.
Can we run more than one competition at once?
Yes. Premier League and Champions League can share one football channel; NFL and F1 each run in their own. Every competition keeps its own picks and its own standings, and it is all one install with one player profile.
