Free

Free for five. No card, no trial clock.

Five players is a small pool, not a crippled one. Every competition, every feature and the whole season are switched on from the first install, and nothing asks for a card to find out whether your office actually plays.

What you get

What free actually includes

The free tier is a seat limit and nothing else. There is no feature held back for a paid plan.

  • Prediction DMs before every match
  • The Monday morning reveal in your channel
  • Office leaderboard
  • NFL company-leaderboard eligibility when five coworkers join
  • Season picks
  • No card, no trial countdown

You choose the competition: Premier League, Champions League, NFL Pick'em and Survivor, or F1. Prediction cards arrive as private direct messages before each round, scoring is automatic, and the recap and the table are posted to your channel on the first working morning after the round. See how a week runs.

The line

Where the 5-player line sits

Per competition pool, in your workspace. It is worth knowing exactly where it falls before you invite the office.

Per pool, not per company

A pool is one competition in one channel. A free Premier League pool and a free NFL pool are two different pools with two different tables, and each one has its own five places.

Channel membership is the roster

Whoever is in the channel is in the pool, up to the cap. That is why it is worth setting a free pool up in a small channel rather than in the one with everybody in it.

Nobody gets bumped

Once someone is in, they stay in. A sixth joiner is waitlisted for that pool and admitted automatically when a place opens or the pool is upgraded.

Office World Cup was free for ten players, and ten was the wrong number twice over: too small for most companies, exactly right for the coworking spaces that ran it. Five is where the line sits now, and the unit changed with it. It is per competition rather than per company, so an office running both the Premier League and the NFL has two free pools of five, and a small team that only ever wanted one never pays anything.

No strings

No card, no trial clock

The two questions that stop most workplace trials do not apply here.

Installing takes no payment details, because there is no checkout on this website at all: a pass is bought inside Slack or Google Chat, where the bot knows which workspace and which competition the payment belongs to. Nothing counts down in the background and nothing switches itself off mid-season. If five people is the right size for your office, that is a finished product, not a preview of one.

Upgrading

When people upgrade

Almost always at the same moment: a sixth colleague asks to join and the pool is full.

Choose One

$129£99€109

Premier League, Champions League, NFL or F1

One payment, whole season, up to 100 players.

Football Season

$189£149€169

Premier League + Champions League

One payment, whole season, up to 100 players.

Everything

$249£189€219

PL + Champions League + NFL + F1

One payment, whole season, up to 100 players.

A pass lifts the cap on the pool you already have, so the standings, the picks and the season carry on untouched. One payment, nothing renewing afterwards, and everyone waiting on the list is admitted the moment it lands. See what each pass covers.

Questions people ask about the free tier

Is it free forever, or is this a trial?
It is not a trial. There is no card, no countdown and no expiry inside the season. A free pool runs the full game for its five players for as long as the competition runs.
What happens when a sixth person wants to join?
The sixth person is held on a waitlist for that pool rather than pushing anyone out, and they are told what happened privately. The moment a place opens, or the moment the pool is upgraded to 100 players, everyone waiting is let in automatically. Nobody has to be re-invited.
Which competitions are free?
All of them. Premier League, Champions League, NFL Pick'em and Survivor, and F1. The free tier caps how many people are in a pool, never which competitions you run or which features you get.
Does the free tier work in Google Chat?
Yes, the same way, off one codebase and one database. The Google Workspace Marketplace listing is still titled Office World Cup, because a Marketplace rename is a review round with Google. It is the same app.
Do our standings carry over if we upgrade?
Upgrading lifts the player cap on the pool you already have, so the table, everyone's picks and the season standings all continue. There is no restart and no export. Add upgrade to your competition's Slack command, for example /premierleague upgrade, or run /upgrade in Google Chat.
