Where this stands: March Madness brackets are not built yet. They are coming for the 2027 tournament. Below is the 2027 calendar and the shape the pool will take, which is the shape our NFL pool has now.

It arrives as a private message, region by region. Tap through it, and it locks at the first tipoff. The NFL slate already lands this way.
Scoring that runs itself
Results are read off the schedule as games finish. The doubling and the upset bonus apply themselves, so nobody checks 2,500 picks at 11pm.
Standings in the channel
The table posts itself after each round, with a line about who moved and who called the upset. Departments are ranked too, so Sales against Engineering is its own story.
Nothing at the weekend
Our pools reveal results on weekday mornings, never Saturday or Sunday. The bracket keeps that rule, so Monday carries the first weekend.
The tournament is 76 teams for the first time
The First Four is gone. A 12-game Opening Round takes its place, and the 64-team shape after it is unchanged.

How a bracket will score
Every round is worth 32 points. The upset bonus adds the seed difference whenever a lower seed wins, which is what makes the first two days loud.
No money, on purpose
Free to enter, so there is nothing to approve.
